Hi All,
In MDM Syndicator there is tab called Map Properties tab.Under this tab, there are 2 properties
1) Remote System
2) Output Remote systems.
Could anyone tell me the difference between these properties and which context we use these
properties?
Thanks,
Narendra
Hi Narendra,
When we open the MDM Syndicator, we have to select the Remote System based on which we get the ports. Remote System property of Map Properties tab displays the remote system selected at the time of opening the syndictor which is readonly.
In some cases we may want to include the remote keys of other remote system, in such cases either we can include the remote keys of other systems or we can override the existing remote system. This is achieved by setting the Output Remote System property.

Dear Narendra,
the remote system field of map properties in Syndicator gives the value of the remote system we select at the time of entering into syndicator. However if we want to send the same file to the multiple remote systems then we can select those in the "output remote systems" tab.

Hi Naren,
Remote system:
Any logical system that can supply data to or receive data from MDM is known as a remote system.
Output Remote system:
some times, the same ( syndication file)data to be send to more number of remote systems, EX: Client system A and Client system B, then we will use output remote systems, here we will add remote systems. Then the same syndication file will be added/send those remote systems.
1. On the Map Properties tab, double-click in the Value field of the Remote Key Override property.
2. Select remote systems from the Available remote systems list and click Add
3. Press Shift+Enter or choose Item Properties ® Save from the main menu to save the property change.
The Syndicator now adds an additional copy of each record to the syndication file for each key mapping the record possesses for the specified remote systems
Hope this may help you,
Regards,
Srinivas
