Dear Raghavendran,

-->Header condition value will apllicable to all items(applicable to whole document)

-->Item condition value will apllicable only specific item(not applicable to whole document)

Header and Item Conditions

Use

The standard system includes condition types that you can only apply at the header level, the header conditions. Condition types that you can only use for items are called item conditions. The standard system also includes some condition types that can be used both at header and item level: Percent from gross (RA01) Absolute discount (RB00) Weight discount (RD00).

Header Conditions

Automatic pricing does not take header conditions into account; you can not create condition records for them in the standard system. Header conditions are entered manually in order processing. R/3 includes the following header conditions:

Percent discount (HA00)

Absolute discount (HB00)

Freight (HD00)

Order value (HM00)

Item Conditions

In the standard system, most condition types are defined as item conditions. Examples of item conditions are:

Material discount (K004)

Customer/Material (K005)

Customer discount (K007)

Material price (PR01)

Displaying Header and Item Conditions

From the header and item pricing screens, you can branch to detailed information about each condition type that appears. From the header pricing screen, place the cursor on the condition for which you require detailed information.

In the header price screen, choose Condition detail. The system displays data it uses to calculate the amount of the condition (for example, the kind of pricing scale, quantity conversion, the scale base value, the document currency, and so on). From the details screen, you can choose Goto--> Condition record to see the specific condition record that the system accesses. From the item pricing screen, select the condition for which you require detailed information.

Accordingly choose Condition detail in the item price screen. To see the specific condition record that the system accesses, choose Goto --> Condition record.

I hope this will help you,

Regards,

Murali.

Hi raghavendran

Difference between Header condition and Item condition type

Header conditon type -

If you maintain any header condition type then that header condition type will be applicable to all line items .

Almost all the header condition types doesn't have Access sequence so there is no need to maintain the conditon record , you can give the header discount manually once you create the sales order

Item condition type -

If you maintain any item condition type then that item condition type will be applicable only to that line item only , in that way if you have 3line items in a sales order then that condition type may be working for some items and for some items it wont work . if you maintain condition record then it will work

Almost all item condition types have access sequence ,so you need to maintain the conditon record for the item condition record.

Dear Raghavendran

Please make a search in the forum before posting some basic questions.

a) Header Condition

- You will not have access sequence

- You can input only at header level condition tab in sale order / billing

b) Item Condition

- You will acccess sequence assigned to the condition type

- You will have to maintain access sequence in V/07

- Will fetch value only for the selected item

- Will flow in sale order / billing automatically

thanks

Hi

Header condition types are valid at doc header level that means for valid entire document

Header condition do not have access sequence

They have to be entered manually in the sales order

The value is distributed proportionally among the all the items in that order automatically

The basis of the distribution can be changed by selecting appropriate alternate condition base value

Item condition is valid for that particular line item

You have to maintain access sequence and the value is picked up from condition record

Like PR00 say the material price

Dear Friend,

Header Condition: Header Conditions valid for all items of a document.

These header conditions are automatically distributed among the items based on net value. The basis for distributing the header conditions can be changed in the pricing procedure by selecting the appropriate routine (e.g. weight, volumes) in the AltCBV

Header Conditions can be distributed among items equally or based on portion of net value depending on the setting in the condition type. It will not have access sequence, thus it need to be entered in Sales Document manually at header level.

Item Condition: Condition & its value is applicable only to the particular Item. The value of a Item Condition is caclulated only for a particular Item. We can maintain access seqence for Item Conditions, that means the condition can be derived automatically thru Condition records.

Hope this helps...

Give points if useful...

Thanks,
