Producd ID - While creating SC - it take 40 Char

Hello Expert,

I have replicated products from R/3. In COMMPR01 it shows 18 digits, and while creating SC and Placing order, it says materil dosent maintained in plant or marked for deletion flag - whith this error material shows as 40 Char.

If i go to table COMM_PRODUCT in display mode it shows 40 CHAR with leading zeros and when double click on that and see it shows 18 Char only.

I have done config for Define output format and storage format for product IDs as 18 Char and leading zeros ticked.

Please give soltuion to this.

Hi

Please check whether you flaged LOCAL when you define back end system for SRM Logical system in SPRO and also you pulled the plants from backend to SRM and mapped in extended attribute via LOCATIONS.

Please maintain the entry as follows teh it should work.

You need to create a new entry for the local system in the customization settings (spro-> Supplier Relationship management -> SRM Server ->

Technical Basic settings -> Define Backend systems). This entry is im-

portant for the conversion exit to convert the material numbers to the

correct format in the backend.

The entry should be maintained in customizing as follows:

Local system : <local logical system name>

Description :

RFC Destination: <local logical system name>

Sys. type : Local B2B system

RFC :

Local : X

FI Valid : real-time backend validation of FI data
