posting periods

posting only possible in period 2008/11 and 2008/10 in company code z123.

This was the error i am getting when i am trying to do PGI.

Please help me in this regard.

Hi Venkat

Go to MMRV and Check in which month your company code Z123 is and then Go to MMPV and close the period of your company code Z123 for the month 12/2008 and then do PGI .But this is the work of the MM consultant

Hi Venkat

First check in MMRV

Go to this t code input your company code

You can see all the periods which will be greyed out

Check for the current period and previous period

In this suppose if the current period is 11/2008 then you can create doc till 11/2008

You are creating the material document in december hence the error

In your screen also for your company code the current period is 11/2008

The current period you have to make it as 12/2008 for this you have to close the period 11/2008

To change this you have go to MMPV

In this t code enter your company code then you have to give date as 01.12.2008 and execute

This means the month December gets opened and nov gets closed

After inputting the date a log will come and this confirms that the period is now open for December

This value is only carried out to MMRV which will be in grey

In your case you have go to MMPV and input the date as 01.12.2008 and execute ,Then the period opens for december and after that there wont be any error

In MMPV if you give the date as 01.09.2008 and execute then the period opens for sep

In MMPV if you give the date as 01.10.2008 and execute then the period opens for oct

In MMPV if you give the date as 01.11.2008 and execute then the period opens for nov

In MMPV if you are putting the date as 01.12.2008 means that you are closing the previous period that is november and you are opening december

This is basically a MM job in real time

You have to check in MMRV first and Make changes in MMPV

Whatever the changes that you make in MMPV will automatically carried to MMRV

go to mmpv t.code see the status and use omsy t.code change the peroids month by month .

I hope it' may use full for u.
