Not possible to upload files from transaction

Dear DMS friends,

I have a small requirement from user side to satisfy but it seems to be not possible. Kindly help out on this. Users want to create documents from their relevant modules t-codes screen. Like when creating Purchase Requisition (ME51N), I had made required settings in SPRO-> Document MAnagement-> Object link, but the button is not visible to create documents in ME51N. Also in WCTA (Create Work Approval), same problem is there.

We can attach DMS documents already created, but unable to create documents while processing transaction.

Kindly need your suggestion to sort it out.

Hi,

I hope u have attached the correct object from object linking screen from tcode DC10. to create document from object side you have to select option 2 : use transaction to create document from object linking screen for create docuement.

After doing this u have to give necessary docuemnt creation authorisation to the user.

Hi,

I had done required settings and checked but actually the problem comes in some of the objects only, like Purchase Requisition creation. During creation of purchase requisition, we can only attach dms documents, we cant create new documents simultaneously while creating PR, as we can do in Equipment, Functional Location, Material, etc.

Kindly suggest what to do?

which object u r linking for purchase requisition.

Hi Pramod,

Actually I want to create new DMS document from ME51N t-code, in Equipment, Material Master, etc. master data it is provided by SAP. When I use option 1, I can create simple document, but in Purchase Requisition screen, icon is not provided to create DMS document, thru which I can create.

For Purchase Requisition, I m using EBAN object. Option 2 is not required, I only want to create simple document from ME51N screen.

Kindly suggest.

hi,

In tcode ME51N for Purchse requisition, there is 3rd tab from end in item overview as document tab. From this tab you can attach the existing document directly. with option 1 : create simple doument as per my information its not possible, may be u require some development.

Hi,

In ME51N, under header level you can find DOCUMENTS tab (in the row of CHOOSE ITEM, second last tab before Default Values tab) from whr you can view/attach documents for DMS.
