Variant Matching.

Hi

Can anybody tell me the basic setting of variant matching.

I have tried some settings BOM explosion settings of item category but it is still not working.

Also is it such that in variant matching only configurable material can replace the other configurable material.

i have one doubt.

i m using config. material in MTO scenario. hence i m taking the stock against sales order. Can variant matching replace this config. material if the stock is available against that sales order.
