How the movinging average price of part will get adjusted.

What will happen to the GR/IR posted in back dated.

Hi Vishal,

Not much info for us to give answers, but here are some general answers. Your instance may differ somewhat depending on what you have set up.

Moving average prices are generally calculated based on transactions that have been previously performed and posted (except for initial entry). Changing any current prices will typically have no effect on moving average prices until new transactions are posted against the new prices. If the 'backdated' prices are not relevant for current period, then they will have no effect on current moving average.

GR/IR are valuated when they are posted. These values are usually locked when the period is closed. Generally, if you change a current price, or if you change the price for a previous period, values calculated in previous perriod transactions will not be affected once the period has been closed. They will retain their previous values regardless of the current price.

Business Warehouse is configured by the customer. Depending on what key figures you have selected for analysis, you may be showing current prices, prices valid for a previous period, or actual posted prices. You should consult your local BW expert if you are unsure what your instance is displaying.
