Sales org. C999, distr. channel Z1 invalid sales area

dear all :

i have assinged sales organization - distribution channel - plant .

but when i create material sales view , organizational level with plant is p999 , sales org. is c999 and distr. channel is z1 is invalid , it message error "Sales org. C999, distr. channel Z1 invalid sales area"

Dear Sophie,

This may due to not set up the sales area in the IMG,so go through this path do the settings

IMG>Enterprise structure>Assignment-->Sales and Distribution

-->Assign sales organization to company code

-->Assign distribution channel to sales organization

-->Assign division to sales organization

-->Set up sales area

-->Assign sales organization - distribution channel - plant

After completion of these settings you also need to do the Common distribution channels and common divisions through VOR1 and VOR2 transactions before creation of the Master data(Customer or material)

Hi

Your error pertains to some missouts in enterprise structure settings and the solutions are rightly suggested by Mr.Murali

Whenever you create a new enterprise structure before creating master datas like customer or material you have define VOR1 and VOR2

Without these being done master datas cant be created

Before going for any transaction like sale order creation using the new enterprise structure you have to do

OVAO---combine sales orgs

OVAM---combine dist channels

OVAN---combine divisions

OVAZ---assign sales area to order type

When these being done only with a new enterprise structure youcan create a sales order for a customer for some material
