Printing page number in scripts

Hi All,

I want to print a page number in the form. In the first I have some records which are going in to second page. So, I want to print as continued from page1 in page 2. And so on... in next pages also.

I was writing as continued from page: &page&. But it is getting printed as page2 on page2. Whereas I want as continued from page: 1 on page2. And continued from page: 2 on page3. etc............

please suggest a solution for this.
