Hello,
I just used the command - chfs -a size=-1G /usr/sap/trans
Now this command reduced the size of /usr/sap/trans by 1 GB. But the free space is not available for allocation to another filesystem.
when I run - chfs -a size=1G /oracle+ , it says not enough space to be allocated.
Kindly help me with the steps that would free that 1 GB space.
Thanks.
hi first of all you have to check the volume group of /oracle & /usr/sap/trans If these are in the same volume group ,Than you have to check the free space in this volume group
lsvg <volume group>
If there are free space than you can increass the size of /oracle .

Is the volume of /usr/sap/trans and /oracle the same?
This is not a SAP problem - I suggest you´d contact IBM for this.
