Overall budget less than overall release with CJ35

Hi

When I retrun amount from Project through CJ35 system gives me following error:

"Overall budget less than overall release"

Any other steps requires before Returning Budget?

I sense that the overall budget is distributed over a time frame of more than 1 year.

Part of the budget was released for the current year... and some of it was consumed.

Now you wish to return the surplus.

2 cases here.

Return in the project (not the cause of error msg that you are getting) and

Return from the project.

Here in second case when you do the CJ52 Transaction on the distributable budget, the system updates the returns within the project, meaning that the total budget is reduced accordingly.

reduce the released budget by the amount you want to return. then carry out return transaction
