Hi All,
I am trying to make a JCO connection in PI 7.1
However the buttons for
"Create JCo Destination","Start assigned SLD" are disabled and "Maintain JCo Destination" and "Check SLD Connection" are enable.
The status for built-in MaintainJCO destinations
WD_ALV_METADATA_DEST
WD_ALV_MODELDATA_DEST
WD_MODELDATA_DEST
WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST is shown as status not define .
The "Create , Preview, Edit,Test,Ping , Remove " button are also disabled.
Can anyone please help me in this.
Thanks and regards,
Kumar

Seems SLD Data Supplier is not configured in Visual Administrator
steps:
I. set password for SLDDSUSER
a) go to http://<hot>:<port>/useradmin, log in as administrator
b) search for user SLDDSUser, click on modify, set a dummy password here, save and log off.
c) at log on screen, log in with SLDDSUSER with dummy password, reset to the desired password where it prompts for change password.
II. Configure Visual Administrator.
1) Open visual administrator (\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<nr>\j2ee\admin\go.bat)
2) go to cluster - server - services - SLD Data Supplier
3) at right side, set host name (j2ee server), and password for both HTTP and CIM client tabs.
4) from toolbar, select trigger data icon.
5) if successfull, log off visual administrator and follow my previous post.
Thanks
let me know the status
