Hi

You need to create the Ice Coffee as a sales set. The ingredients like milk , sugar, cream needs to be created as components in the system with the requisite ratios. In this case u can maintain the invenotyr at component level and still sell the ICe Cofee

Hope this help

Woahhhhhhhh!

Amazing if I read such a business requirement.

Using a structured article here makes absolutlty no sense !!!!!!

Why! because the volumes of of different incrediants of the ice coffee are different for every selled item.

Thats the same thing like counting lettuce slides on a burger. That makes no sense !!!!

Or are you able to buy 1 l of milk and create 100 portions of 10ml exactly?

Of course I guess there are some software vendor out in the world maybe able to solve this unsolvable issue. Only nearby solutions are possible at all.

Calculation can be done with SAP Fresh Item Management.

IS retail will sell a single article "ice coffee"

Björn - you are absolutly right!

Using a structured article here makes absolutlty no sense !!!!!!

Several years ago we had the requirement in a CC environment, that the customer wanted to use SAP Retail for the Bakery products. Eaches of Wheat, Milk, etc needed to get split down and later sold as an own item.

It took us several weeks to implement a customized -and working- solution. Again.... no standard procedure in SAP Retail was/is/should be available for this kind of requirement.

What Bjorn said is absolutely correct. There cannot be an exact solution for this business requirement. SAP Fresh Item management can be used but if you are finding it diifcult to use it, a simpler way can be approached. The ICE coffee can be defined as a single article with article type FTRM where as the ingredients can be defined as consumables with article type SPAR. These SPAR articles can be bought from the vendor, GRN can be done and then these articles can be issued to cost center wit mvt type 201 as they are anyways going to get consumed for the ICE coffee preparation.

This will help you in the inventory management of the ingredients and final product coffee can also be sold.

Hi Bjoern,

In regarding to the post about using a sale set article for ice coffee,

We are also facing a similar issue,

If we go with the single article solution (without SAP Fresh Item Management)

how will it be possible to manage the inventory and costing for the ingrediants?

Can you please elaborate why we should not go with the sales set solution?

Thanks a lot!

real practice:

In one of retail project our client use structured articles approach for recipe management and 2 developed reports or transactions for managing "in-store production" (including calculation of costs, managing stock of ingredients & sellable items on base of real daily sales volume). it works %)

Buy the components for direct consumption and create a sales article with specific sales price (with no stock relevance).

This is the simpliest way.

Cheers.
