While entering the various parameters of Change management service server an error occures server exception: User credentials are invalid or user is denied access.
The CMS user belongs to a different system whereas the sld is configured on the other system. The user credentials are not same on both the systems.
How to overcome this error.
Hello Gauri
The CMS user must exist in the complete transport landscape and it must also have the same password. This is because it is basically a service user.
I think you need to ensure that appropriate users are created with correct rights.
For additional info, pls have a look at :
https://websmp201.sap-ag.de/nw-howtoguides
From here go to XI -> Go to the document "How to transport XI Content using CMS"
Just look into user management section and domain creation section.
Hope this helps.

The best way is to use ldap, or use one ABAP UME and point the SLD and the NWDI systems to it.
Otherwice you may need to change the passwords of all the users (CMS admins, developers) to be one and the same to both SLD and NWDI systems.

Hi Gauri,
It seems like the user that you have created does not have write access to SLD. Make sure that you create the same user in both the UME of NWDI and SLD. Then on the J2EE engine of SLD give that user write access to SLD.
Also in the J2EE engine of NWDI give the user CMS.Administrator and CBS.Administrator roles.
Also please maintain the same password in both the UME.
After the creation of user please change the password also for the first time and then provide the user and password in CMS Domain.
Please make sure you follow these steps and do let us know your results.

Sidharth

Hi,
I had faced the same problem during CMS updation.
One tweak possible is - add the Administrator (Java system) or j2ee_admin (ABAP system) to JDI.Administrators and update the CMS with the Administrator credentitials.
Hope that helps.
