hi,

can i CIF child component with mrp type PD to PPDS beacause i want to update the stock of child component and delivery date from PO. so that ppds can do detailed scheduling.

pls reply as soon as possible. if some expert PPDS is there in bangalore pls let me know ur contact. there are many things to discuss regarding my current APO implementation.

I don't think there is any issue in CIFing material with MRP type PD to APO

this MRP type is not transfered to APO.

In CFM1 it is only filter to select materiials with particular MRP type.

I think you are aware of planning with BOM

Hi Vinay

APO system doesn'y have MRP type and you can CIF materials what ever is required and you can plan child components and as BOM is in place already through PPM

Inshort you can plan all the compnents in APO

But still if you want plan only finished one in APO and subessemblies in R/3 then MRP type X0 is used to explode the BOM in R/3

MRP type indicates whether material is to be planned in R/3 or APO ( externally)

You have to consider before CIFing material whether to make MRP type X0, ND

If MRP type is PD I think you can plan it again in R/3 in MRP ...please think on that
