Hi Experts,
I accidently deleted the sapdb instance directory in our AIX machine.
When I try to delete the "data" and "program" direcotry to reinstall sapdb with the same instance name, it seems the sapinst is still pointing to the old installtation to look for information from data and program. So my question is:
How to completely clean the old sapdb installation?
I have rename the data and program directories. In addition, I have rename the files inside /usr/spool/sql. Other than these, anywhere esle I shoule delete or rename for a fresh installation? Please help.
Thanks in advance!!
Regards,
Li Bin
Dear Li,
depending on the version of MaxDB that had been installed before, you may want to check whether there is a file /etc/opt/sdb and rename/delete it if it is there.
After that the re-installation should be possible.
best regards,
Lars
