Dear .NET developers,
we want to inform you, that the next major version of SAP .NET Connector is available for download as a Beta.
As SAP customer, you can download it from
http://service.sap.com/connectors
The beta version is not intended for production use. Please post any feedback, questions or problems with this beta version here into this forum.
The new features of NCo 2.0 include:
- Full Visual Basic © support
- Full BAPI/Business Object Repository support.
- Documentation integrated into VS help.
- New "Server Explorer" extension
- "Smart Typed Dataset" feature of proxies
- Support for ".NET Remoting".
- New unified connection management for both Rfc and Soap connections.
- Improved connection pool- Support for RFC callbacks
and much more.
Is there a runtime version of NC0 2.10 similar to NCO 1.x. Based on the release notes, there is none. How do we then deploy it in a server? Should we have to install VS 2003?

No, but you can copy the necessary runtime files from your developer machine to your production machine(s) inside of your company. The related files are SAP.Connector.DLL, SAP.Connector.Rfc.DLL, and LIBRFC32.DLL. Please search the forum for these DLLs to get detailed instructions where to copy them.
Will the 2.0 beta work with VS.Net 2003?
