Hi Guys
1)Can you pls tell me the detailed steps involved in homogeneous system copy(windows with oracle) and also the duration to perform this.
2) also is there any way to copy entire customization data from one system to another.
Thanks in Advance
Mahesh
Please read the homogenous system copy guide and related notes. There are no short cuts in this procedure that can be shared because it is impossible to know exactly how your scenario is. You must base such copy on your own experience and create your own documentation.
Regarding complete customizing copies It is not recommended. you can however do client copies that copy only client dependent customizing between systems or within system. If you copy between systems the client independent customizing can be inconsistent with the client dependent customizing so you must be aware of that and also the table structures must be identical between systems. The structures are checked before copy starts and you can also check it before by performing RFC system comparison.
Hope this helps

If you have 2 sap systems with same patch level, you can do a remote client copy or a client export/import to the new system with the client copy profile SAP_CUST.

Yes, the host name need not be the same. You need to have a RFC established between the system for Remote client copy. (SCC9)
The same product is installed, with the same release, in both systems.
All components in these systems, including add-ons, have the same development status.

Also, you can think about the option of client export/import (SCC8)
