SD-Contract error

Hi all

We have a case where in we are trying to open a contract thru va42,but the system is giving a message as "Billing plan 000XXXXXXX' does not exist - Program error"

What does it mean.We are not able to open the contract at all.

But we can see the entriesin VBAK?

Please let us know the solution

Hi,

Check in OVBP whether the contract document type has assinged to billing plan type,and also check in VOV8 whether the contract document type has assigned to any billing plan types.

Dear Phaneendra,

This is due to wrong periodic billing plan assignment to your contract document type

Billing plan 000XXXXXXX' has been assigned to your contact type but this was not defined in the IMG

Go to VOV8 transaction check the Periodic billing plan assignment to your contract type, this might Billing plan 000XXXXXXX' .

First you define the Billing plan 000XXXXXXX' in the IMG through OVBI transaction then try to change the contract.

or

You can define new billing plan type then you can assign to your contarct type

IMG path is IMG>Sales and Distribution>Billing-->Billing plan

Define Billing Plan Types

Define Date Descriptions

Define And Assign Date Categories

Maintain Date Proposals For Billing Plan Types

Assign Billing Plan Types To Sales Document Types

Assign Billing Plan Types To Item Categories
