Receiver mail adapter error

Hi,

I configured a receiver mail adapter with the following configuration:

Transport protocol: SMTP

Message Protocol: XIPAYLOAD

URL: smtp://xyz.corp.abc.com

authentication method: plain

user: mail_user_id

pwd: mail_pwd

i am not using mail package,

From: my_id at abc.com

To: my_id at abc.com

Subject: Test mail

Content Encoding: None

but i am getting the following error in RWB CC monitoring..

"failed to send mail: java.net.SocketException: Connection timed out:could be due to invalid address"

suggestions....

There could be most probably two reasons:

1. The URL smtp://xyz.corp.abc.com is an invalid address

2. This URL is not accessible through your XI server to send mails. This could happen when there is some firewall related problem or some intranet related access.
