Hi All,
Please can anyone provide any help on integration on PI with webmethods.
Would we need to buy the webmethods XI adapter for the same?.
We do not need to pass data to an sap application but from PI to webmethods to third party system and back.
(3rd party system>PI>Webmethods-->3rd party system).
Can anyone help on what is the method of passing the data? what adapter should we use as this is a synchronous call.
Have read this blog but I am not clear as here they are integration with an R/3 system.
Thanks a Lot.
HI All,
I did go through this blog first to integrate with wm

I will look into the WM adapter and the webservice part.If we can do the same whithout the adapter.
Thanks for the comments.. will get back if I need more input.
Thanks!.

Hi,
You can use SOAP Adapter to communicate between PI & WebMethods. In webMethods you can create a webservice and invoke that webservice from XI by using SOAP Adpater and vice versa. It will behave the same way as if you are invoking any webservice exposed by 3rd party system.
You can use webmethods XI adapter as well but I guess you need to buy it.
Thanks
Amit

Hi
To my knowledge for integrating to web methods you need wM XI adapter. You need to install it
With adapter installation you will get its SWCV and it will be having integration scenario defined if you have purchased the suite.
That you have to use for this integration.
3rd party system>PI>Webmethods-->3rd party system
But in this case. Is Web methods is mandatory with 3rd party system. ?
Whats the actual requirement.
Thanks
Gaurav
