Hi!
The SAP system in our organisation is going slow day by day.
As more users log on to the system and run their transaction the system
starts getting slower and slower.
it is taking almost hours to run standard transaction also.
Our organisation is running SAP for almost 3 yrs.
we have though of increasing the capacity of RAM recently.
what may be the reason for this kind of slow performance.
Do SAP give support for this kind of performance problem?
please help us to come to a decision.
thanks
Amit
This can be caused by many different reasons.
Basically slow performance is caused by a bottleneck in your system... the bottleneck can be related to software or hardware so this is were your "analysis" skills come handy.
First steps...
Hardware: Check that your hardware is up for it... check memory, cpu and disk utilization.
Software: You have a tool called ST03N Workload Analisys... In this transaction you can check the performance and behavior on each type of processes.
Please also, update the message with info about your landscape and hardware
regards
Juan

hi,
This is entirely a Basis issue. You should not fault SAP for this.
Basis people have to check the kernel,ram........ continously
and update accordingly to keep enough space available
which will make system run smoothly.
