Dear Jack,

VL06O --> (Selecion Type) For Checking

A direct Transaction for "For Checking, i.e. Unchecked Delivery" is VL06U.

*Logistics Execution (LE)*
A delivery document that has a reduced scope of checks and a document status of "unchecked".

The reduced scope of checks refers mainly to the availability check, but may also involve other checks.

An unchecked delivery can be converted to a delivery with a document status of "checked", which can be used for subsequent functions such as picking, packing or posting goods issue.

An unchecked delivery is only created when the document to which it refers reflects shipping requirements (meaning that it contains an open confirmed quantity).

Following Document will be helpful to explain the Concept:

I just meant that it sounds odd to have such a selection type in VL06O. I don't have access to ECC 6.0 right now so I can't check it, hopefully someone else can help you.
