Update IPC SP09 to SP16

Hi all,

I would like to know is I can update IPC 4.0 SP09 to SP16 without update other components

If yes how to install this support package step by step

It is highly recommended that the CRM (BBPCRM) and the IPC - Service packs are same

If there are plans to update at level 10

It must meet the following conditions :

Update SAP_BASIS from SP50 SAPKB62050 to SP55 SAPKB62055

SAP_ABA from SP50 SAPKA62050 to SP55 SAPKA62055

Patching IPC 4.0 SP03 and higher

Beginning with SP03 SAPinst has to be used to patch an existing IPC installation. Do not patch the IPC manually as done in IPC 3.0 or IPC 4.0 SP00, SP01 and SP02

The patch procedure is described in the IPC 4.0 Server installation guide available at http://service.sap.com/crm-inst. Navigate to SAP CRM 4.0 > General and Technical Installation Guides. There: IPC 4.0 Server Installation Guide (version 2.04 and higher), chapter 3.2.

Hai,

You have not mentioned whether you are using CRM or SRM.

As per SAP the CRM/SRM server and the IPC should be in the same SP level.

Have a look at the SAP Note 486061.
