Difference

Hello All,

the scenario is, a new sales org is being added to the already implemented SAP in the company, there are lot of Material Pricing Groups already defined, this division has a lot of groups of materail to be added to be used as a key in creating Condition record for pricing, as the pricing is based of materail groups in legacy system,

what would be effect and difference if Materail group 1 field is used to define all the groups this S.org needs, and this field is used as a key field in creating VK11 instead of using standered Material pricing group field. would it make any difference at any level like s.order, reporting and etc?

regards

Dear Dilip,

When you take Material group as key field to maintain the condition record you need to maintain the Respective Material group data in all material master data.

If you are using Material group as key field only for the new sales organisation then you better to add sales organisation also as key field for maintaining condition record along with Material group.

Impact

Now price will be picked in the sales order with respect to the Material group.

I hope this will help you,

Regards,

Murali.

Dear Dilip

If your pricing condition is based on Material Group in the existing scenario and if you want to include a sales organization to this existing one, then it is recommended to continue as it is. That is for materials maintained in the new sales organization also, in VK11, have one of combinations as Material Group.

Impact would be by doing so (that is without changing the existing style), there is no need to close all open orders. If you go for new combination in VK11, then you may have to create new sale orders for all customers.

thanks
