ST06 Disk Utilization

Dear All,

My SAP PRD is 4.7 EE on Win2003 with Win sp2 on MS SQL 2000 Data Base with 4 GB of RAM.

The performance on the system is very slow and we have planned to go for an upgrade on Physical Memory. The DB resides on the SAN BOX and in connected wih Fiber channel from PRD to SAN (1 GBPS).

We see that the DISK Utilization in ST06 is always 100%. As a rule it should not be more than 50%.

What all things do i need to consider to nail down the issue.

Advise me in resolving the issue.

regards

Sumanth

On a SAN storage system a disk utilisation of 100% doesn't mean much. What are the numbers (milliseconds) for your I/O Performance (read & write) in TX ST04?

Sven

What else do you see in ST06? You see paging in/out a lot? How much swap is configured and used?
