SMD: some questions

Hi!

I am using SAP Solution Manager 7.0 SPS 17 and facing with the following problems during the configuration of SMD for SAP PI and SAP EP installed on the same host.

SMD Setup for managed systems (managed system: SAP PI)

- first warning

Wilyhost Agent Wilyhost Agent setup finished successfully with limitations. Data of at least one action is not available in Enterprise Manager(<server>:6001).

Step Wilyhost Agent Details

Created destination PIB|<server>_PIB_04

Created destination PIB_DVEBMGS04_server0

Created destination EPB_JC02_server0

Created action PIB|<server>_PIB_04 - PIB|bera9010_PIB_04 AbapInstance

Created action SAP GC|PIB_DVEBMGS04_server0 - SAP GC|PIB_DVEBMGS04_server0

Created action SAP GC|EPB_JC02_server0 - SAP GC|EPB_JC02_server0

Created 3 action(s).

1 Wilyhost Agent(s) and 0 EP Agent(s) from host <server> are connected to the EM.

90 seconds after restarting the WilyHostAgent the data of the following action is still missing in EM: PIB|<server>_PIB_04|PIB|<server>_PIB_04 AbapInstance

Please check SMDAgentApplication log files for warnings and errors.

User Role SAP_IS_MONITORING does not exist

Step User Details

User SMDAGENT_SMB already exists in ABAP User store at ABAP Host=bera9010.btc-ag.com sys=04 client=100 adm user=j2ee_admin rfc user=j2ee_admin

Role SAP_IS_MONITORING does not exist

User SMDAGENT_SMB was succesfully assigned to profile S_IS_MONITOR in ABAP user store at ABAP Host=bera9010.btc-ag.com sys=04 client=100 adm user=j2ee_admin rfc user=j2ee_admin

- third issue

performance problem by accessing Root Cause Analysis --> Workload

when I start Root Cause Analysis --> Workload I am waiting several minutes until something comes up

Question: how can I solve this performance problem?

Hi,

For your third issue, check RFC MDX PARSER. The note 1032461 should solve your problem.

For your second issue, Check this note 1174027.

I have heard that SP17 has quite a few problems so its best if you upgrade to SP18. Its been released this Monday 18th Dec 08 so there will be small problems. Have a look into the release notes for support packs for SolMan.
