Hello !
A Shipment document has two statuses (amongst others): Shipment Completion and Shipment End.
I have not been able to find what the difference is between these two.
If someone can explain the meaning of each (as SAP has intended them to be), I would appreciate that.
When the truck leave the dock, would I set the Shipment Completion status, or would I set the Shipment End status?
Help appreciated!
Anisha.
Dear Anisha,
These are various transportation statuses
Planned: The shipment´s planning is complete.
Check-in: The vehicle arrives at the plant.
Start load: The vehicle is loaded or unloaded.
End load: Loading and unloading finished.
Shipment completion: The documents are created.
Shipment start: The shipment starts.
Shipment end: The shipment is finished.
I hope this will clear for you,
Regards,
Murali.

Hi
Basically Shipmend end is when you have finished the loading/packing etc of the Shipment
Shipment completion is when the truck leaves the site as this can trigger Post goods issue
I hope that this helps

Hi Frenchy,
You are saying...
"Shipmend end is when you have finished the loading/packing etc
Shipment completion is when the truck leaves the site"
Are you sure you did not mean this backwards?
I am asking because on the Shipment screen Shipment Completion comes before Shipment End.
Please clarify.
Thanks,
Anisha.
All,
Thanks for your replies.
Basically what I was trying to figure out is when should the delivery PGI take place.
Should the PGI happen at Shipment Completion, or at at Shipment End?
According to Dominik, PGI should happen with Shipment Completion... according to others it should happen with Shipment End.
I guess both approaches are correct...
Anisha.
