How the synchronization between SLD and landscape data description happens?
Hi Naresh,
depending upon the systems that are being used, the sync happens.
In a landscape you can use either a JAVA,ABAP or any non-SAP system.
Basicaly the description can be routed via a data supplier to the SLD Bridge
which is a part of the SLD.
If you are using the ABAP based system then you can do it by two ways-
either creating a RFC connectin to the SLD bridge or by writing the data in
the shared memory. This data can be taken by the SLD plugin and then sent to
the SLD bridge by means of RFC.
in SLD Local Administration you can use RZ70 Tcode and specify different
parameters like RFC destination, Data collection program and gateway
information. You can also specify the Jobs here. After config this it will
take the data and send it to the SLD bridge which in turns send it to the
SLD in a CIM format.
For JAVA based system data suppliers are available as per SAP WebAS JAVA.

Hello,
If you mean synchronization between SLD and SAP R/3 systems then it happens automatically through customizing transaction RZ70 (SLD:Local Administrator) in backend system and the period pointed in field under checkbox:Schedule background job (usually every 720 minutes)
