Jazz, he is on Windows, so, no user ora[sid] exists.

Eric, Thats news to me! .. I would disagree. . I would appreciate if you can double check the existence of ora<SID> in windows environment..

Jazz, check his command:

C:\>brbackup -u system/manager -c -t offline_force

have you ever seen a "C:\>" prompt on Unix?

as for the ORA-28000 error, just Google this error message a bit and you wil lfind a solution. help yourself first, then, come back here.

I agree its a windows system. What i was not agreeing is to the comment on the existence of the ora<sid> user. . Windows does have ora<sid> user on OS level as i can see. . Hope you got my point.

Cheers,

Jazz

Maybe I do not see what you mean!

nope, Windows does not have ora[sid]. it uses SIDADM and SAPSERVICESID.

I have been working with SAP on Windows for at least 8 years. so, believe me, no ora[sid] on Windows.

Dear SK,

Which user are you trying logged into OS level when you ran BRbackup? Please use ora<sid> user and you should not get this error.

Jazz
