order of imports in CMS

Hi

We have multiple developers developing the same SC in the same Track.

this means that within a work day , at leats 10 activities are being checked in, activated and released.

this means the import queue for the CONS has 10 import requests from different developers.

my question is:

if I click "select all" and import them all together, does the NWDI knows to import them according to their chronological order?

Hi Engel,

There is nothing wrong in it.

If you select all the activities together and import it, at that time, CBS clubs these requests into one workspace geerates all source files according to those activities and then build in cronological order.

Lets say there are three components A,B and C.

B and C uses component A, then it will build first Component A if there are some activities related to component A is present. Then CBS makes other two components dirty. So, CBS builds these two components also to maintain consistency.

I would suggest you to release all the activites for one component and for one developer together from NWDS. So, there would be for each developer and component wise request present in CMS.

Then select all these requests and import together. There no issue.
