Reg. profit center determination

Hi Friends,

Could someone tell me the relationship between Material Group, company code and Profit center?

Please help me with the navigation or trans code to update the profit center determination to ensure a material group for a company code determines a specific profit center in sales order automatically.

Hi,

There is a concept called Profit Centre Substitutions in sales order. here based on some parameters you can determine profit centre in sale order.

SPRO-Controlling-Profit Center Accounting-Assignments of Account Assignment Objects to Profit Centers-Sales Orders-Sales Order Substitutions.

Under this you can find the rules and assignments.

Hi Kumar

Profit center is coming to Sales order from Material Master OR from WBS settings (Done by FICO).

So please check Material Master MM02 >Sales: General/Plant Data>General plant parameters-->profit center and maintain some profit center there.

Or Ask your FICO guy to assign some profit center to your WBS element used in sales order.

then it will come automatically in sale order.

Revert back if problem not solve.

Hi Kumar,

There can be three possible sources for profit center determination:

1) Material master sales general/plant view entry which you maintain,

2) Profit center in default account assignment (OKB9), and

3) Profit center assignment to cost center.

The requirement is to determine the profit center in the sales order based on a newly created material group. In our company the profit center is determined using a table T9PCT.

Please assist.
