Hi Pinto,

We need to identify all the Master data relevant to your client business in place in the production server before going live in the production server. You can use LSMW or BDC to upload the Masters.

All the transports requests need to be transported from Quality to Production system after the Integration testing is done. This is done by the Basis team.

Identify the Cut over data from the legacy with respect to the Sales in the form of Open Orders, Open deliveries Etc and upload the same in to the production server before going live. You can upload the same with the help of the ABAPer using BDC.

These are some of the Basic activities we need to perform before going Live.

Thanks,

Ranjith

From SD point of view, you should create recordings of LSMW for master datas like

- Customer Master

- Material Master (for salable items)

- Customer Material Info Record

- Pricing conditions

- Routes

- Inco Terms

- Payment Terms

- Output

For Transaction datas like

- Open sale order

- Initial stock upload

- Open deliveries etc.,

either you can create LSMW or go for BDC

thanks

Normally you would have to update master data and transaction data.

Master data: Customer master, material master, pricing condition master, output master, CMIR, batches, etc.

Transaction data: All open docs like open orders, open deliveries, open invoices, Contracts, Sch agreements if any etc etc. Open AR's and AP's are a responsibility of FI people. Generally client is asked to close as much documents as possible so that we have less transaction data to load.

Also, the client might like to have old legacy data also in R/3 for analysis. Generally we go for an upload of about 6 mths - 1 yr old data and rest can be loaded in BW if client wants.

You generally load master data using LSMW or BDC programs.
