Delete users

Hi guys.

SRM 4.0, server 5.5.

We have a policy of never deleting users in SRM, but now I have an issue, where a user has been deleted and one of the user's POs is now unchangeable because this partner is missing.

Any idea how this can be fixed? And it doesn't seem to make any sense that a user can never be deleted in an SRM system, so is there some kind of fix to this problem?

Can you let us know how did you delete the user? If the business partner has not been deleted then you can create a new position and assign the BP to the user, that may resolve the issue.

Thanks, Muthu.

However, in my case it is a PO that I need to delete.

I use ECS, so the purchase order in the backend cannot be changed from there, and there are no GR nor IR, so it should just be deleted - and the deletion needs to come from SRM, but this is not possible.

Would the only solution be to change directly in the database tables thereby changing the actual user of the purchase order in Easybuy - how can it really be true, that once a user is deleted in SRM the related documents can never be changed again? 😐

Hello Dennis

Please check check it up any consulating note for PO like sap given for sc sap note 550071

i understand your requirement. as a good practice ,close all the business documents before we delete the user .

i will also check it up from my side and get back to you..

Yeah, I guess the good practice has to be that all documents for a user need to be handled before a user can be deleted. But in some cases it would still within the same year be necessary to change a document even though it is closed... 😐

In the consulting note you mention it says that in the table CRMD_PARTNER the dummy user's GUID should replace the deleted user's; however, in the table in my system I don't have any entry for the deleted user, so I can't replace anything?

hello Dennis

Did you get an error message while deleting the user ?

Note 1148837 - SRM user cannot be deleted

When trying to delete an SRM user the system will check if there are still

related SRM documents in the system. If there are active documents in the

system the deletion is not possible. This is the correct system behaviour.

But even if all related SRM documents are archived the deletion is

sometimes not possible, because there are residual entries in table

CRMD_PARTNER linked to this user.

Solution

The attached report PARTNER_SET_DELETE will display in simulation mode all

residual entries in table crmd_partner with invalid item or header links

and in non simulation mode it will delete the corresponding crmd_partner

entries.

Hi again.

How can I modify the user in CRMD_PARTNER?

And the user has been deleted a while ago perhaps.

Hi

This table generates dynamically values for every patrner function.for eg requestor is also one of the partner function in SRM.

you need take a help from technical resource to update the table since as per standard SAP does not allow you edit this data via SM30.

please consult with your techincal guy following the same.

se11 ->crmd_partner-> tab delivery and maintanence -make it display /maintenance allowed and go to utilities and select table maintenance generator.

try in your development the above same with help of technical resource..
