Web Dynpro ESS with 4.7 Enterprise

We currently have a 4.7 Enterprise System. In addition, we have a non-production Netweaver based mySAP ERP system.

Is it possible to install ESS (the latest version - Web Dynpro based ) on this non-production system and have the business data taken from the 4.7 Enterprise system?

Alternatively, please suggest any other way in which the 4.7 Enterprise system can use the Web Dynpro based ESS.

mySAP ERP system (2004/2005) require the XSS Self Services, so it will not work on 4.7. Also, the bpo (delivered by SAP) on ess/mss for erp 2004/2005 do not work with 4.7 (which you probably know). You can use ale/rfc to connect erp 2004/2005 to enterprise/4.7, but this is normally done for other purposes (i.e. EDI/iDoc, eRecruitment, PLM with PDR Workbench, etc.).
