Hi Argha

There may be n numbers of Company codes,Sales organisation, Distribution channels and Divisions, but for one customer only one Customer master data is created, provided that all those Company codes are under one Client(group of companies).

Only, we extend the Customer to different Sales area where it is required.Similarly we can also maintain the customer for different Company codes under the same Client.

One part of the Customer master data, that is the "General data" is already stored at the Client level and this is applicable to all the Organisational units under the Client.

Different master mata means different customer number. For one customer we can not have different customer number.

So for one customer only one master data irrespective of the number of company codes, sales organisations, distribution channel and divisions.

Hi argha,

If under each company code there are 2 sales org.,2 dis ch & 2 division then for 2 company codes we need 16 customer master required...

Example:Consider 1000,1100 as the company codes,under 1000 the sales org.s are 1200 and 1300.

Similarly under 1000 the dis ch.s are 01,02 and divisions are 01 and 02.Consider the same under 1100 also.

In 1000 co. Code the possibilities are:

1000-1200-01-01

1000-1200-01-02

1000-1200-02-01

1000-1200-02-02.

Like this for another sales org. we have another 4 records.Like that for another company code we will be having another 8 master records.

Mohan.

Dear Argha,

What has gone wrong with following thread:

[Org Structure|;

Answer to your question is

Customer1: Sales Org1Dist Chan1Div1

Customer2: Sales Org1Dist Chan2Div1

Customer3: Sales Org1Dist Chan1Div2

Customer4: Sales Org2Dist Chan2Div2

Customer5: Sales Org2Dist Chan2Div1

Customer6: Sales Org2Dist Chan1Div2

Customer7: Sales Org2Dist Chan1Div1

Customer8: Sales Org1Dist Chan2Div2

Best Regards,

Amit

Note: If maintain common Division as "00" and Distribution Channel as "00"; Maintain just 1 Master for Sales Org1 and 1 for Sales Org2.

Hi Argha

In such a case , there would be one central code for customer and then the sales view would be extended to all the possible permutations of the belwo mentioned

Else alternate is to have reference distrivution channels and reference division so as to minise the number of customer masters

Thanks

Akasha
