RFID Asset Management is part of the Mobile Infrastructure Solution Mobile Asset Management(MAM).
You did not need XI and AII for RFID Asset Management.
Mobile Asset Management 2.5 is shipped with 3 RFID Scenarios:
1: RFID Order enabling: The mobile user can access(read only) all PM/CS order informations.
2: RFID Writing: After the completion of an PM/CS Order informations can be written onto the tag.
3: RFID Data Insertion: The creation of a new PM/CS order or notification is supported by using the PM technical object data stored on the RFID tag
The usage of MAM RFID scenarios requires mobile devices that support RFID.
Currently the devices of psion(netpad) are supported for the use of MAM with RFID(SAP Note 848799).
For using MAM with RFID you have to deploy some Addon's on the mobile Device:
1.RFiD device .dll driver,(delivered by the hardware provider)
2. RFID device .jar files(delivered by the hardware provider)
3. SAP RFID MRI (on the MAM installation cd)
