merep_mon and memon_tech

Hello SAP community,

I currently have a doubt about synchronization monitoring.

I usually use either merep_mon or Synchronization Monitor in NetWeaver Administrator, in order to monitor the synchronizations.

Sometimes there are synchronizations that are not shown in merep_mon, but just in Synchronization Monitor which I believe to display the entrie of table memon_tech.

So my question is, what's the difference between what merep_mon logs and what is inserted in memon_tech table.

Hi,

merep_mon des only show you entries based on SMARTSYNC apps, while MEMMON_TECH hosts all sync informations.

SmartSync does allow you to easily sync data between device and middleware/backend. But a sync usually has more then that, like user data, authorisations, connection settings. While MEREP_MON shows you all informations based on the SYNCBOs, you can get the complete rest on to of that informaion in MEMON_TECH.
