How many maintenance items can be assigned to a maintenance plan?

Dear Experts,

I would like to know how many maintenance items we can assign to a maintenance plan?

If any restriction is there, then what will happened if I cross the limit? will it give dump or will it give any error message?

Hi Praveen,

The no. of items can be greater than 99...pls feel free to add as much items as you want ...it will not give any error...Why worry for error or any restriction before trying...

Thanks for confirming. Actually I have already added 176 items but it was giving dump while adding the new one. so i asked whether is there any limit and about the errors.

any how now dump problem is also cleared from our ABAP consultants.

actaullyyit depends on itemnumber range only system will aloow N number.

actaully it gives 99. the again it starts with 01. but sytem considers only item number range.

Hi,

The link from plan to maintenance item allows 4 numeric places, so that would be 9999. I'm not aware of any other limit.
