JCo connector error for Metadata & Model Data

Hi Experts,

We are trying to configure JCO Connectors for HR Meta Data & Model Data for ECC Backend system.

Our is a standalone J2EE server which we are connecting to the backend system through a Gateway server.

When we are connecting HR MODEL DATA with ECC 6.0 we could able to connect using Single Server Connection and Application Data.

But when we are trying to connect HR META DATA with ECC 6.0 - the LOAD-BALANCED CONNECTION is taken default and we are not getting the backend system ID in the message server connection screen.

The message server is clearly appearing but the System ID is not appearing because of which we are unable to create the JCO connection to the backend system.

Our Questions are :

1) The LOGON GROUP is not defined in the backend system. Is this because of that we are unable to connect the META DATA ?

2) Do we need to use only LOAD-BALANCED CONNECTION only for both Meta Data and Model Data connectors ?

3) Also do we need to create a connector with VIRSAR3_01_Model & Metadata which is for non-HR backend if the backend system is ECC 6.0 -HR Installed?

4) If the backend system is not using HR Functionalities at all, do we need to create a connector with VIRSAHRMODEL & META DATA or NHR Connectors will do?

Thanks and Best Regards,

Ambarish

Dear Ambarish,

Yes, Logon group is a must for JCo connector.

Please check these things-

SLD is configured.

SAP Gatway details are defined in RZ70 and the same is executed.

In SLD technical system, the backend system is showing up.

User ID and password is correct which we are using in Connection data.

Logon group is defined.

you are entering correct credentials.

Regards,

Sabita
