Hi!

I am facing with the following error occuring during the SMD setup for managed systems:

E2E RFC A failure occured while activating E2E extractors:

Step E2E RFC Details

A failure occured while activating E2E extractors (E2E_EFWK_WIZARD_AE)

!! Exception : CANNOT_GET_RFC_DEST

Exceptions

com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$AbapException: (126) CANNOT_GET_RFC_DEST: CANNOT_GET_RFC_DEST

I checked all the users and RFC connections. All seems to be ok.

I am on SAP Solution Manager SPS 17.

Can some one help me tp solve this problem?

Thank you very much!

Gday!

Have a look onto your managed system, you'll see some shortdumps "No authorization to logon as trusted system (Trusted RC=0). "

The only way I managed to get through this step in solman diags setup was to create the SMD_RFC communication user on the satellite and igving it SAP_ALL and a role containing the object S_RFC_ACL

Bizarelly, they dont talk about having this user on the managed system side in "Root Cause Analysis

User Administration Guide" on the media library in service.sap.com/diagnostics

It would be worth reporting the issue to the support, have you opened a message?

Cheers

Hello

We were having the same issue and the problem was in the RFC SM_SIDCLNTXXX_READ because the login were not atomatic.

Try to do a remote logon succesfully and then repeat the setup wizard.

Hi ,

Could you please provide us more details, which includes what all steps you have performed.

I think you must have missed out the step wherein all the RFC will be created automatically.

Please check this >

1. Open SMD using the URL - login with SMD Admin user.

2. Navigate to Diagnostics Setup > Diagnostics System > Steup Wizard.

3. Tun this setup completely once. which will create all the RFC & required users.

Hi!

Not really, the set up of Diagnostic System seems to be ok: 24 steps succesfully run.

I detect in Self check the following:

The RFC READ Destination for SID 'PIB' has not been defined in SMSY or the RFC fails to connect to the managed system! Error is 'SM_PIBCLNT000_READ : FM /SDF/E2E_ENABLE_TRACE is not available'

Now I have the problem that none entries exist. ´

Meanwhile the RFC connection is properly defined and the user has a SAP_ALL.

Do you know what could be the reason for the error?

Thank you

Hi,

Please check [this note.|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1011229]

This will solve your problem.

Feel free to revert back.

Hi!

Many thanks!

With that note I can see the E2E extractors in the table E2E_TEMPLEXTR.

Unfortunately my second problem does not solve.

E2E RFC A failure occured while activating E2E extractors:

Step E2E RFC Details

A failure occured while activating E2E extractors (E2E_EFWK_WIZARD_AE)

!! Exception : CANNOT_GET_RFC_DEST

Exceptions

I checked all the users and RFC connections. All seems to be ok.

I am on SAP Solution Manager SPS 17.

Do you know how to trace this problem?

- which RFC connection will be searched?

Thank you!

check whether smd_rfc user has required authorizations & all the required rfc destinations were created for satellite system.

You can create from SMSY .

Hi!

Many thanks for your reply.

Should the user SMD_RFC also exist on the satellite system or only on SOLMAN?

This user has the the following roles on my SOLMAN

SAP_BI_E2E

SAP_BI_E2E

SAP_SOLMANDIAG_E2E

and the following profiles:

SAP_ALL

S_AI_SMD_E2E

S_SMDIAG_E2E

T-SB430004

T_B3740120

All the RFC destinations are already there.

Thank you!

Do you have the BI content (BI_CONT 7.03) installed on the system?
