WHat is the purpose of running BOM-PS?

what ledgers or areas of FI CO MM, PP does it affect after running it?

What intervals shall we run BOM-PS?

If I correctly pick your question than, you are asking regarding BOM explode / BOM transfer.

Normally, Complex project structue is mapped by using bill of material.

1. WHat is the purpose of running BOM-PS?

The purpose of BOM explode/ transfer is forthe assigning materail componenet to netwrok activity.

There are two ways for it.

i)Mannual assignnmet which is called as Explode BOM, (Cj20n>EDIT> Component-->Explode bom )

ii) Automatic assignment which is called as BOM transfer ( CN33) perticlularly makes sense, if you want to assign largee no. of materail component to network activity & if your bom structure might change during your project planning so, in this case you can repeate the bom transfer for the changed BOM and relevent network. so, sys.avoids duplicate assignment.

2.what ledgers or areas of FI CO MM, PP does it affect after running it?

while executing BOM transfer / Explode it will not afftect directly to FI /CO, but for which stock is taken it to account it will affect to MM / PP ( assembly order )

3.What intervals shall we run BOM-PS?

Normally, if you have configured automatick BOM transfer,than we have to run CN33 after every cahnge in BOM. so, to avoid duplication assignment.
