Solution Manager on windows 2008

Can we install Solution Manager 4.0 on windows 2008?

Please share your experiences on installing on win 2008.

Windows SE is not recommended, better to use the Enterprise Edition.

The first source to check if a special OS/DB combination is support is that platform matrix at http://service.sap.com/pam

Solution Manager is an ABAP + Java instance. ABAP is supported on Windows 2008 but the necessary Java version 1.4.2 is not (as of now)--> so you can´t use Windows 2008 for a Solution Manager installation.

For SAP GUI , iT'S ok. for netweaver, why use 2008?

for oracle or db , you 'd better look into the implementation guide.
