Hi manu jain,

Please explain us how you can be in charge of a production server and needing to ask such basic questions on this forum ?

Is this a real production server for a real company ?

I really don't understand that and this is a serious question.

Olivier

it's not your responsibility to take care of OS backup, go see your Unix admin.

how is it corupted ?

you find what was the reason.....what are your back up statregy......

i think through devlopment you can not do any thing in that case ........may be you have to reinstall that instance......

is it CI or DI ?

hi manu,

You need to reinstall your SAP instance.

You should backup your file system level periodically especially when you have any changes on it.

for usr\sap\PRD\DVEBMGD00 just recreate the directory empty

for /SAPMNT/PRD , you will need to reinstall your SAP instance.

now, once this is completed, go build a good backup strategy.. .and test it completely with a full restore and document this ASAP.

Its weird that you do not have any sort of file system backup for production server..!

I dont think you can restore this from development server. You will have to go for a disaster recovery if you have backup taken through brtools.
