R3setup.bat gives error

Hi,

I have to install SAP R/3 4.6D on Windows Server 2003

R2 X64 edition..Now i have got SAP R/3 4.6D_EXT CD's

(CD No.:51020564)..Now when i try running R3setup.bat

in NT->COMMON->46DSR1 i get error Platform not

supported..Kindly tell me if i am missing anything..I

thought that this CD is gonna work on this platform as

per the PAM..Please help me..

you need to get the 46D_EX2 kernel CD. ask SAP about it.

But as per the PAM i can see that 4.6D_EXT is also compatible..

Hi,

Pl. select the platform dependent folder befor starting the sapinst.exe file

like J:\IM02_NT_IA64\SAPINST\NT\IA64\sapinst.exe for 64 bit windows

or

J:\IM01_NT_I386\SAPINST\NT\I386\sapinst.exe for 32 bit windows

So is you operating system 64bit? x64 is a 64bit platform...

Yes Markus,Mine is a X86_64 system..I cannot use IA64 since it is AMD system not an Itanium one..Kindly Help
