Has any one had an experience of assigning more than 1000 ship-to's with a single sold to in the customer master.
Does SAP have a note to address this issue or how did other resolve this short coming of SAP.

Satish
Hi there,
Performancewise, it is not suggested to assign that many ship-to parties to 1 sold-to.
What I can suggest is if it is in India, define sold-to parties as per the states. then define individual ship-to parties in the particular state & assign them to the sold-to of that relevant state.
If it is any other country define sold-to as per the geographical regions. This will also be easy for you to monitor what ship-to is relevant for the sold-to.

Hi Satish,
You can Assign Ship to parties in Customer Master's Partners tab by using the T.Code XD02 but lessthan 1000
and while creating sales order when you Enter Sold to party No. a popup box will open it will show the
list of ship to parties you can select the any one ship to party among from the list.
then create the order

999 is the maximum number of ship-to parties (except AFS, SAP note 580939). When exceeding that number, the solution would be to maintain the sold-to number in the ship-to parties. When creating a sales order, the ship-to party would be maintained first and by that the sold-to would be determined. But this does require a change in the standard partner determination procedure.
