Charset Encoding

Hi,

I am working on a XML to IDOC scenario. This interface is Multilingual (Data is coming from XML in multiple languages). Requirement os to Pick the data from XML as it is (in whatever language) and post the data as it is picked to the IDOC. This means posting IDOC having data in different languages (Dustche , Czech, English etc).

We used charset encoding ISO 88591 in the File channel Integration Directory. The sender channel is picking the data correctly(sxmb_moni), but while posting the IDOC data is not encoded and some dump value is displayed. Any changes that needs to be done in R/3 system, because XI seems to be working fine.

Please help in posting the IDOC for that XML containing data in multiple languages.

Thanks,

Vikas Mishra

Hi Vikas,

Tell me, Do you check the file after the mapping? is the data ok?.

One Time I had a problem handle with encoding, my solution was used a java mapping instead of message mapping.

Ivan.

Yes, data is correct after mapping. Only when it is posted to IDOC, the data is getting some dump values in IDOC.
