Hi everybody,

we are in PI 7.0

in production we receive the error

com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.MessagingException: Could not parse XMBMessage due to invalid content type for SOAP: APPLICATION/OCTET-STREAM

The application worked perfectly since the 4th of october and sudently it doesn't work .

Nobody change anything of the scenario.

scenario

SAP/R3 RFC --> XI --> SOAP service

is there anybobody who can help me?

The response of the web service is no soap message.

Check the URL.

For information,

the problem is solved.

That was at level of XI server.

There was an outside service which ran on the server and which used the port 8000

And this port 8000 is used by XI to run the HTTP port

Does this problem occur during the response cycle? May be the webservice is sending improper message. You may trace the soap message using TCPGateway.

No, the problem happens during the sending in the adater engine.

Hi Eric,

I think the problem is because of invalide charecters in the data.

Check the data coming from the R/3 system, it is having any special Characters?

Hi Goli ,

that is not the case , the rfc fonction send a technical user and pasword which didn't change since the 4th of october and normally we should receive a ticket as answer.

the problem appends when we send the message.

An other problem we have is that our PI is instable.
