Hi everyone,
we noticed that sometimes the user SAPSYS logs on from a Terminal (PC) to the SAP System.
As we understand it the User SAPSYS is supposed to be the system itself.
So the question came up: How is it possible for the SAP system itself to log on from a (remote) Terminal ??
Next questions is: Sometimes whatever it is the user SAPSYS is trying to do when logging on from a terminal fails because he lacks some necessary rights. Any idea what's going on here ? How could this be explained ?
Regards
Thomas
Hello Thomas,
if a logon attempt fails, the dialog step for this logon will be saved with the internal user SAPSYS. Its simply used as a placeholder as long as the logon is not successful (because the system doesn't know if the user is valid one in this case).
You could check it by trying to logon with an incorrect password or not existing user. You will find a dialog steps for SAPSYS in STAD.
Regards, Michael
