How to ADD Fields to Standard WBS

Dear PS Experts,

how can we add new fileds to standard WBS element for assigments.

i need to add cost center.

is there any posibility..if there is ..how?

Hi,

There are 2 fields related to cost centre available in standard WBS Element, responsible cost centre and requesting cost centre. Responsible cost centre is cost centre executing that particular WBS element/project and requesting cost centre is cost centre that requested the WBS Element/project.

Both available in field selection, just ensure in field selection in IMG both status is input.

Depend on your requirement for cost centre you can use these fields otherwise you can use user exit to create new field.

The requirement is that we need costcenter budget control.

The two fields are not able to control the budget when the budget is getting exceed.

when the budget exceeds it should not allow to post any entry..

expenses are booked based in cost center..

how to achive the same.

please advice

Hi,

Yes. Definitely in PS, budget can be controlled from WBS Element only and since this 2 fields is only attribute then we can't controll the budget unless cost centre is include in WBS hierarchy as 1 level in WBS Element.

Other way, you can implement FM (fund management) module to cater this requirement. In fund management you can associate cost centre as fund centre and link WBS Element with fund centre and fund and control budget from FM.

use exit CNEX0004 for fields on std WBS

exit CNEX0003 for fields on stds project definition

i found two fileds in the modifiable fileds

Request. cost center PRPS-AKSTL

Responsible CC PRPS-FKSTL

how to add these filds into influencing fields from modifiable

wht is the relevance of these fields.

can they be used as costcenter

This can be achieved with CMOD ( enhancements ) Take help of ABAP.
